1/2 HOUR SCENIC TOUR: |
This tour departs from Missoula International Airport and heads North straight into
the mountains up and over Snow Bowl enroute to the jagged peaks of the Rattlesnake
Wilderness. Get a birds eye view of the many lakes, peaks, snowfields, wildlife,
and wilderness that make our backyard of the Rattlesnake special. While exploring
the Rattlesnake Wilderness on a clear day you will have a “surround sound” view
from the Mission Mountain Range, across the Seeley Swan to the Swan Range (the boundary
of the Bob Marshall Wilderness Area) to the Sapphire Mountains, Lolo Peak, the Bitterroot
Mountain Range, and a unique overview of the Missoula and Bitterroot Valleys! After
exploring the Rattlesnake Wilderness Area, we will follow Rattlesnake Canyon back
towards town and fly by the “M” and the “L” before getting a scenic tour of the
University and downtown. The Clark Fork River provides us with a corridor back to
Missoula Airport. |

1 HOUR SCENIC TOUR: |
This tour begins like the 1/2 tour heading North up and over Snow Bowl and the peaks
of the Rattlesnake Wilderness Area. We then fly North across the Jacko Valley onto
the Flathead Indian Reservation into the Mission Valley and head straight up into
the remote, intense, majestic Mission Mountain Range, up and over Mission Falls
(a spectacular several thousand foot series of waterfalls), over Lucifer Lake and
over the razor ridge sheer Garden Wall. Once up at the peaks of the Mission Mountains
we fly over Sunrise Glacier, McDonald Glacier, and stay at the peaks heading toward
Eagle Pass. While in the Missions we explore the many Glacial Tarns (turquoise glacial
lakes), snowfields, waterfalls, and abundant wildlife. As we head back towards Missoula,
you will see the 12,000 acre grizzly bear conservation zone, the National Bison
Range, and many more spectacular unforgettable sights. Bring a camera, you will
want to capture this amazing experience on film!
